Hello, I'm Helen and I'm a vintage loving trainee teaching assistant from Norfolk. I now live in East Sussex with my lovely Boyfriend and an extensive collection of vintage handbags. I gave up retail a year ago to pursue a career as a teaching assistant and despite the lack of fashion in my new career, it is hand on heart the best decision I've ever made. But vintage, retro and period clothing (and most importantly, accessories!) will always remain my one true love...as well as old music, photography, movies and, erm, anything pre-dating the 1980's really. I don't remember when my utter passion for vintage became a full time obsession but it most certainly blossomed from a long time love The Beatles and everything 1960's crossing paths with my interest in fashion in general.


So, all of that has lead me to write 'It's Fashion Not Rocket Science', bringing you the very best of everything pre-loved from my travels around the country, around the web and for the most part, around Twitter. I love nothing more than rummaging through the accessory baskets in the nearest charity shop or thumbing through the rails at Beyond Retro in order to discover the very best in geek chic and quirky vintage cool. Shame shopping isn't a full time job really...
