Doing The Twenty-Twelve Charleston...

So, I've been invited to a 1920's themed Birthday party in the new year and have been searching high and low for the perfect outfit. My first thought was to go all out antique and hunt down a true vintage piece. Alas, my budget will never stretch that far so I've been doing a spot of online research, all in the name of dressing up you understand. Not wishing to to channel bad taste, overpriced fancy dress, I decided to take matters into my own hands and put together a look of my own, taking inspiration from this lovely lady. This stuff is so glamourous, it never goes out of fashion...

Exploding into Autumn...

Hello vintage lovers. It's been a while, I know!

My word, time has just flown by. And all I have to show for it is several new vintage handbags, a number of scarves, yet another pair of sunglasses and...no, that's all the shopping I intend to own up to for now.

I've been so busy these last few months that blogging (amongst other things) had to be put on hold. So, after a few technical blogging difficulties, I'm very glad to be back.

This time, it's the return of my favourite vintage website Gigi Vintage. Their A/W '11 collection is the best you'll find on the web in my opinion. Gigi does vintage with effortless cool and just a sprinkling of much needed geek-chic.

Sunny Side Up...

One thing I've learnt about myself the last couple of years is that I Love sunglasses. Here's the collection as modelled by er, me...

H&M clear perspex. The newest addition to my collection which go with pretty much anything. Plus, they make me look damn cool.

Possibly channelling a bit too much Mrs. Beckham in these 70's style pair from Accessorize. More for when I'm feeling a bit 'bling bling'.

Primark and loving it. Cute with a skirt outfit for some reason, possibly due to the floral aspect.

Classic Topshop cool. These look amazing with a black blazer, white tee and a classic black handbag.

Very 70's glam, very Topshop and very fun. Or funny looking. I can't decide.

Another from the Accessorize archives. Good for hiding all number of sins and a great to compliment to the humble maxi dress.

Yup, another Primark pair. Perfect with the old t-shirt and jeans combo.

Everyone must own a pair of aviators. Laid back. Classic. Amazing. This Accessorize pair are my best friends when nothing else will do.
